  • Central silver plaque 7 3/4 x 10 1/2 in. (19.8 x 26.8 cm)
the large central oval aperture surrounded by six smaller apertures, all with hinged covers mounted with beveled glass, all interlaced with an engraved ribbon border and scrollwork, set with a border pierced with geometric ornament, mounted over red velvet, the corners set with square bosses, the back with velvet-covered strut, with partially obscured maker's mark in addition to that of Ovchinnikov, 84 standard

Condition

Large and attractive, the glass of the central aperture cracked at one edge and the hinge loose; the silver plaque with a slight bend at center, the bosses apparently unmarked, the velvet with some fading consistent with age
