of bulbous form on spreading foot, the body applied with plaques enameled with polychrome stylized blooms against a white ground, reserved within bands of stippled gilt with scrolling ornament, slip-on lid, struck with initials MS for Maria Sokolova or Maria Semenova, 84 standard

large and attractive, some small wear to gilding; the lid slightly loose; some minor wear to enamel consistent with age and use
