Condition

Overall measurements: 333cm across the top, 331cm across the bottom, 746cm along the left, 744cm along the right. Overall dense, closely sheared and even 3mm pile generally. Wear down to foundation in some areas, for example the lower border and an area of the top right border (visible as slightly darker area). There is some oxidisation to areas of taupe and pale blue in areas, especially the inner guards (especially along left side) and spandrels. Some colour run, in centre field and centre lower end, especially to the blue, which is creating a shadow to outlines in areas (for example centre of lower half of border on left side). Some minor dirt surface marks. Original side cords and original flat woven end guards with remnants of knotted fringing. This is a very decorative and good quality carpet with very unusual design. It would benefit from a clean.
