The second of the Marprelate tracts (the epitome only; the epistle was published a month earlier) is a reply to John Bridges's A Defence of the Government Established in the Church of Englande for Ecclesiasticall Matters. First published in 1589 under the title Hay Any Worke for Cooper, and attributed to Martin Marprelate, Reformation No Enemie is a reply to Thomas Cooper's An Admonition to the People of England.
