Seventh(?) edition. The work, otherwise known as Book of the Monarch, is a poetical compend of universal history, prepared as an exemplary guide to those in power. It is followed (at page 96) by The Tradegy of David Beton, The Testament of King James the Fifthes Popinjay, The Dream of Sir David Lindsay of the Mount, and The Complaynt of the Kings Olde Hounde. Lindsay (c. 1490–1555) was an important Scottish poet and diplomat.
