modelled as a perched bird, its head forming a screw cover, the handle in the form of a twisted ribbon.

Condition

The cover: The feather on the top of his head is extremely well restored. There is a short haircrack running up from the rim edge behind its left eye. There is a minuscule chip to the rim edge. The jug: There is some occasional minor chipping/abrasions to the edges of the handle and some very few small areas where the glaze has not taken. There is 3 by 1 inch section at the foot that has been broken off and restored with a made-up material.
