The complete set of 80 miniature replicas, color reproductions, photographs and one celluloid Glissière of works by Marcel Duchamp contained in and mounted to the original cardboard box or collé to black wove paper folders within a green leather valise, conceived between 1935-1941, assembled between 1966-1971, with the artist's stamp-signature and signed in ink by Alexina (Teeny) Duchamp on the mount of Coffee Mill, from the edition of 47, published by Marcel Duchamp, Paris (80 components)

Condition

The complete portfolio, in good condition. Nine prints with soft corners, inconspicuous creasing or minor, unobtrusive nicks in the extreme sheet edges. Six prints are separating from the supports, an additional three have detached entirely, an occasional label and reproduction erroneously re-attached. Discoloration comprises adhesive stains on the verso of these nine sheets and overall toning of six . The green leather-covered valise shows unobtrusive wear at the corners as well as inconspicuous scuff marks. The black supports with occasional scuffs, soft handling creases, one missing white label (Schwarz 233) and one creased bottom right corner. Condition notes for individual components: Fountain and Mediocrity with inconspicuous surface soiling. Virgin No. 2: Printing imperfection in the bottom quarter of the sheet at center. 3 Standard Stoppages: The black is slightly attenuated.
