Description

  • Henri Cartier-Bresson
  • Brussels
  • gelatin silver print
signed in ink in the margin, framed, 1932, printed later (Cartier-Bresson: Photographer, pl. 155)

Condition

This print is in generally excellent condition. As is typical of Cartier-Bresson's later prints, a few scattered deposits of original retouching are visible in raking light. There is a small crescent-shaped crease that does not appear to break the emulsion in the lower right portion of the image. The lower margin is slightly rippled.
