Condition

Illustration is quite accurate, the gilt-bronze is very slightly less orange. Both mounts are marked with the crowned C which gives us an indication of the period. Attractive design, asymmetrical figures and mounts with different patterns on the clothes of the figures. The interesting point is a combination between the figures and the vases carried on the back which shows the creativity of the marchand mercier. On page 88 of the catalog : figure on the left : porcelain overall condition is pretty fine, there is a restoration to the vase carried by the figure, the visible crack could be restored. There is also a fire crack on the left arm of the figure. The figure on the right is in good condition, the gilt-bronze mount with expected wear and stains to the gilding. Very attractive chasing, some minor (and expected) cast cracks.
