Condition

Overall the condition of the bronze is good with some wear and dirt to the surface consistent with age. There are traces of black, reddish, brown and golden lacquer patinas. There is some rubbing to the patina at the high points, particularly at the proper right shoulder and knee of the front leg. There are a few stable hairline fissures and minute lacunae due to casting flaws, including at the front legs and the back. There are a few minor chips to the lower corners of the marble base.
