Description

of oval form with flared sides supported on four lion-mask feet, set with two chilong clambering on the sides and perking at the rim to form the handles, each detailed with clawed paws, a muscular sinuous body and bifurcated tail, the longer ends centred with ruyi-shaped hooks suspending a loose ring, the smoothly polished jade of a pale celadon colour with occasional icy inclusions

Condition

There are a couple of minor nicks to the interior rim, some original nibbling or tiny bruises to some edges, consistent with the type, but overall the washer is in very good condition. The polish is particularly smooth and successful.
