Designed as a parrot perched on a coral branch applied with a cabochon sapphire, the torso set with an oval-shaped jade cabochon measuring approximately 17.7 by 12.6 mm, the feathers applied with buff-top calibré-cut rubies and sapphires, completed by an onyx beak and single-cut diamonds, signed Cartier, Made in France, numbered 02822-0200.00, with French assay marks.
Condition
In good condition with moderate surface wear to the mounting. Minor chipping to the reverse of the coral branch, but not seen when worn. The translucent medium-light green jade cabochon exhibits areas of color concentration as seen in the illustration. The medium-deep blue and medium-deep pinkish red rubies are eye-clean to slightly included. Diamonds approximately G-H color, VS-SI clarity. Approximately 1 1/2 x 1 inches.
