18 Karat Gold, Sapphire, Citrine and Diamond Pendant-Necklace, Bulgari

Supporting a pendant in the form of a sunburst, set with alternating citrines and sapphires, accented by round diamonds weighing approximately 12.15 carats, gross weight approximately 228 dwts, the necklace separates into two segments measuring 21½ and 12½ inches for variety of wear, the pendant signed Bulgari; circa 1970.

In good condition. The gold mountings show light scratching throughout. The sapphires are a light violetish-blue color and are moderately included and semi-translucent. The citrines are medium yellow-brown and are eye clean. Diamonds are approximately G-H color and VS clarity. Heavy and well made. The pendant is detachable from the chain. There is also a detachable pendant bail, which probably originally had an interchangeable finding for a brooch fitting, as evidenced by a remaining brooch clutch.
