Condition

In good condition. The mounting has slight scratching throughout, commensurate with wear. The chalcedony is a translucent medium-light slightly grayish purple with a small amount of banding visible from the reverse, and displaying a small chip to the back of the ornament in the top right hand quadrant which is not visible from the front and does not affect the stability of the piece. The emerald is a nicely saturated medium, very slightly bluish green and is eye-clean. The rubies are a medium to medium-deep, slightly purplish red and are slightly included with a few moderately included rubies exhibiting surface reaching fractures. The diamonds are approximately F-G color, VS clarity. Dimensions approximately 1 3/8 x 7/8 inches. Accompanied by Cartier Certificate of Authenticity no. NY2006-25 stating that this jewel was commissioned by H.R.H. Duke of Windsor from Cartier, New York in 1943.
