The necklace designed as a rivière, set with 73 round diamonds weighing approximately 42.00 carats, length 15¼ inches, with maker's mark; circa 1978; suspending a detachable pendant centering a pear-shaped sapphire weighing 16.95 carats, framed by round and pear-shaped diamonds weighing approximately 5.95 carats; circa 1979. With signed box.

Condition

NECKLACE: In good condition, very light scratches associated with light wear are visible to the underside of the necklace. The diamonds are approximately G-H color and VS-VVS clarity. The 28th diamond from the male end of the clasp displays a chip to the girdle.Counts and approximate weights of diamonds derived from 2011 appraisal performed by Harry Winston. PENDANT: In good condition, very light scratches associated with light wear are visible to the underside of the pendant. The eye-clean sapphire displays a strong, medium violetish blue hue, light abraiding and chipping to the facet junctions as well as two scratches on the table visible under a 10X loupe. Accompanied by GIA report no. 2135275937 stating that the sapphire is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating, AGL report no. CS 66547 stating that the sapphire is natural corundum, with no indications of heating, and SSEF report 79277 stating that the sapphire natural corundum and of Burmese origin with no indications of heating. The diamonds are approximately D-F color and predominantly VS clarity. Counts and approximate weights of diamonds derived from 2011 appraisal performed by Harry Winston. The receipts from Harry Winston state the necklace and pendant to be inventory numbers 47461 and 47889.
