Condition

The portrait of the male figure is in lovely condition, showing only a few isolated retouches. The canvas has an old lining. The painting looks well as is. The portrait of the female figure is in less good condition. Although she has the same lining on the reverse, there have been numerous paint losses throughout the picture, all of which have been retouched. Her face, shoulders and arms are in better condition. The painting should not be cleaned, as the retouches are reasonably effective. (This condition report has been provided courtesy of Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc.)
In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above.
