Description

  • Gilt bronze
seated in vajraparyankasana with the right hand in bhumisparsha mudra and the left hand in samadhi mudra, with spherical ushnisha finial and delicately raised urna at the forehead, a vajra resting on the throne in front

Acquired in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, 1960s. 

Condition

Wear, accretion and oxidation overall with three centimeter hole at lower base reverse. Traces of polychrome in hair. Base plate now missing.
