Condition

The canvas is not lined and there does not appear to be any fluorescence visible under UV light. There are natural drying cracks related to the materials used, most prominently to the black pigment, which may have been retouched a little with something that does not fluoresce. There also appear to be some possible thin lines of retouching to parts of the purple pigment in the upper centre of the composition (again not visible under UV light). There are some fine lines of craquelure to the dark green pigments and to the blue pigments to the right of the composition. There is a faint horizontal stretcher bar mark. This work is in overall good condition.
