The total diamond weights is approximately 40 carats.

Languidly she lies atop the sparkling silvery band, head on her arm, glistening emerald eyes gazing into distances afar. Even in her resting state, the queen of the jungle is ever majestic and enigmatic, a perfect figure of silent confidence and effortless grace.

It was over one hundred years ago that the Panther has leapt into the landscape of Cartier jewellery and shaken up our conception of beauty. Sensual and fluid, she ensnared the hearts of the most powerful and glamorous women of the 20th century, most notably the Duchess of Windsor, for whom King Edward abdicated his throne to marry; Nina Dyer, wife of Prince Sadruddin Aga Khan; and Daisy Fellowes, the most celebrated socialite and fashion icon of America in the 1900s. Even today, the Panther still remains the dazzling leader of the famed Cartier menagerie, a timeless symbol of wealth and prestige; an unbound force that every moment breaks and remakes the boundaries of contemporary jewellery design.

The Duchess of Windsor’s 1952 bracelet, which fetched a jaw-breaking £4.5 million in Sotheby’s auction in 2010, epitomizes the Panther in action: a taut and masculine Panther. In complementation, this watch features a feminine interpretation of the queen of beasts. Be it through the lax yet elegant posture, the perfect flowing curves of the bangle with the dial concealed underneath, or the soft, shimmering iridescence of rare stones, the feline grace of the extraordinary beauty has never been more exquisitely displayed. The timepiece also contains a secret quirk: movable forearms that reflect the agility of the wildcat, made possible only by an advanced technological breakthrough at the time. Bold, elegant and demurely extravagant, this modern classic is fit for the calibre of royalty — a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that only the most discerned watch-collectors deserve.
