Designed as a flowerhead framed by ribbon scroll flourishes, set with calibré and shield-cut sapphires, accented by round and baguette diamonds weighing approximately 2.70 carats, further decorated with round and single-cut diamonds of yellow hue weighing approximately 1.10 carats, numbered 28990, with maker's mark, one calibré-cut sapphire and one yellow diamond missing; circa 1941.
According to the archives at Oscar Heyman & Brothers, this brooch was retailed by Shreve & Co. of San Francisco in 1941.
