Supporting a rectangular carved and pierced jadeite plaque measuring approximately 47.2 by 32.3 by 7.8 mm, decorated with ru-yi symbols, topped by an additional jade cylinder, accented by old European and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately .30 carat, suspended by a pearl strand, length 16 inches, the pendant signed Marcus, with indistinct numbering; circa 1930.

Condition

In good condition. The jade plaque is a medium deep emerald green color with a moderate amount of color mottling. Diamonds are of decorative quality and the pearls are semi-spherical with a creamy ivory hue, very good luster and minor blemishing. Signed Marcus on reverse of pendant bail near bottom of jade cylinder. Scratch number 754211 on pendant bail and side of connector between the two jade segments. Pearls not original to piece. Accompanied by GIA report no. 5172721795 stating that the jadeite jade is natural, with no indications of impregnation.
