The torsade bracelet composed of 21 strands of sapphire beads, the scale-like terminals set with round diamonds weighing approximately 8.66 carats, length 7ΒΌ inches, signed Cartier, numbered 52290C, with French assay and workshop marks.

Condition

In good condition. The sapphire beads are a medium to medium-light slightly violetish blue to violet-blue, predominantly moderately included with some surface-reaching inclusions and some evidence of cracks, visible only under close inspection. The diamonds are approximately E-F color, predominantly VVS clarity. Signed on one end of the clasp. Bearing a nice heft and best fitting a medium wrist. Please note that the piece has French assay and workshop marks, and not a maker's mark, as stated in the printed catalogue. Available on request: a copy of the Valuation by Cartier, January 17, 2011 stating an estimated retail value of $164,000.
