Centering a cushion-cut cabochon sapphire weighing 8.31 carats, mounted atop an opal weighing 8.13 carats, further accented with round and pear-shaped diamonds weighing 1.65 carats, size 6.

Condition

In very good condition. The sapphire is a medium to medium-deep violetish blue, moderately included with a few examples of surface-reaching inclusions visible under magnification. The translucent opal displays a strong, attractive play of color, with blues and greens dominating. The diamonds are approximately G-H color, predominantly VS clarity. Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 68913 stating that the sapphire is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating.
