The festoon-style necklace supporting oval, round and pear-shaped amethysts, gross weight approximately 30 dwts, length 15 inches; late 19th century.

Condition

In good condition. The amethysts range in color from light to medium deep purple and are eye clean to slightly included. The gold mounting is of a rosy gold hue, but has a dark patina, presumably from age. The gold tests as low karat. Fitted with two O-rings for a safety chain attachment, currently non-extant.
