Estimate
25,000 - 35,000 USD
bidding is closed

Description

  • silver, gold, diamond, seed pearl
Composed of twelve strands of seed pearls measuring approximately 3.7 to 2.5 mm, the front centered by an old mine-cut diamond weighing approximately 1.40 carats, further set throughout with variously-shaped diamonds weighing approximately 16.15 carats, length 13½ inches.

Condition

In very good condition. The diamonds are approximately G-J color, VS clarity overall with a few SI examples. The pearls are creamy white and range from off-round to round, with good luster, soft rose and green overtones. Under magnification some of the pearls exhibit very minor blemishing in the form of peeling skins and small dimples. The strands are tightly strung. The center plaque is circa 1870 but the rest of the choker was likely added later.
