of archaistic liding form, the compressed globular body supported on three conical feet, with a pair of arched handles rising from the rim, the base wheel-cut with a four-character reign mark within a double-square, the glass of an even pale turquoise-blue colour with faint wispy inclusions

Condition

There are characteristic burst bubbles and minor imperfections, but overall in good condition.

Another glass incense burner of this form in brilliant pale blue, imitating the gemstone turquoise, from the collection of Robert H. Ellsworth, illustrated by C. Brown and D. Rabiner, Clear as Crystal, Red as Flame, China Institute in America, New York, 21 April - 16 June 1990, no. 34, was sold at Christie's New York, 17th March 2015, lot 56.
