Description

  • huanghuali wood
of rectangular form with a single-board floating panel set flush in a mitered frame with molded edges, supported underneath by three transverse stretchers, above a short recessed waist and simple beaded apron, continuing to square-section slender, beaded legs terminating in hoof feet and joined by humpbacked stretchers

Condition

There is some shrinkage to the top panels and loosening of the frame joints at the corners. All the joints with consolidating filled repairs and fill to the inside of one leg where sapwood has worn away. There is some staining to the surface and expected wear.
