Description

well-molded, standing four square with head turned slightly to the left, the head well-articulated with ears pricked, eyes bulging and nostrils flared, the arching neck grooved to receive a mane, a bright green-glazed saddlecloth draped over the high ridged saddle and gathered in pleats to either side, over a cream-glazed saddle blanket, the body covered with a rich mottled amber glaze with a cream-glazed blaze on the head, wood stand (2)

Condition

The horse has restored breaks to the upper - extending to the lower chest and haunches - and lower sections of the legs between the knee and ankles. The head has been off and restuck and the ears are replaced. There are numerous areas of overpaint to lost glaze.
