Pratt, full gilt spines, inner dentelles gilt, marbled endpapers, gilt edges, occasional expert repairs (e.g. vol.1 p.325, p.727; vol.2 p.1220; vol.5 p.171), a few leaves in vol.4 with very slightly shorter margins, margins extended or strengthened (e.g. pp.1593, 1775, 1787, 1847, 1893 and 1895), map of Virginia in vol.4 expertly backed with thin paper, 2 text maps very slightly shaved (vol.2 p.1244; vol.5 p.694)
