Description

  • velvet, wool, ermine, miniver, silver-gilt,
  • Coronet diam. 15cm, 5 7/8 in
the silver-gilt Duchess’ coronet, maker’s mark F&P Ltd, London, 1936, retailed by Wilkinson & Sons, Jermyn Street, bordered with ermine, the red velvet surmounted by gold bullion, also fitted with a hair pin and handwritten tissue label, in a wooden box with label ‘from the Royal School of Needlework / exhibition Road London, S.W.7’ written in pencil ‘Duchess of Roxburghe’, together with coronation robes, with a short sleeved robe of crimson silk velvet, fitted and trimmed in miniver, and a train of crimson silk velvet with a short ermine capelet and gilt cordons to the shoulders,

Condition

Robes are in very good overall condition. One of gilt cordons to shoulder is detached, but can be replaced.
