Condition

This work is in very good condition overall. The canvas is unlined. The turning edges of the canvas are covered with adhesive tape and a cotton ribbon, stapled intermittently along the edge. There is some scattered surface soiling, particularly near the edges, and a minor, errant mark in the upper left corner. There is some very fine, hairline craquelure noted, most evident in the more heavily pigmented areas. There is evidence of some oil residue surrounding the pigmented areas, due to the artist's working method and choice of medium. Under Ultraviolet light inspection, there is no evidence of restoration. Framed.
