Condition

This work is in good working order and in good condition overall. The box opens and closes easily. Under close inspection, some of the brass slats beneath the Plexiglas have tarnished with age. There are scattered light and unobtrusive abrasions to the clear Plexiglas and some glue residue is visible, inherent to the artistÂ’s working method. There are some scattered areas of loss to the glued nails along the exterior of the box. The colored loose fabric elements are all intact. Close inspection reveals evidence of tarnishing to the sliding brass slatted element on the top of the work.
