Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the background tends more towards a true white and the yellow geometric shape towards the centre of the composition is less saturated in the original. Condition: This work is in good condition. Very close inspection reveals a few very thin and unobtrusive hairline cracks scattered in a few isolated places. Examination under ultraviolet light reveals some a thin intermittent line of inpainting along the extreme outer edges..

Catalogue Note

“Words are no help to me when I try to speak about my painting. It is an irreducible presence that refuses to be converted into any other forms of expression.”
