round rectangular, with fluted sunburst decoration to cover and base, pushpiece set with cabochon sapphire, the interior with gold colored elastics, struck with Cyrillic initials V.V or Latin B.B of an unidentified maker, 56 standard

Condition

elegant and attractive, the hinge and pushpiece working well and closing crisply, scattered surface scratches consistent with age and use, the edges of the hinge slightly rough to the touch
