rounded rectangular, the exterior polished to a mirror surface, the cover applied with a cast of a Catherine II period coin with ground enameled in translucent red, with cabochon sapphire thumbpiece and applied thumb rests in yellow gold, 56 standard

Condition

very elegant and attractive, the cover with one tiny dent at upper right, with small scattered scratches consistent with age and use, the hinge possibly too tight on right side so that the cover closes with a tiny gap
