  • each: 146cm.; 149cm high. plinths: 42cm high, 52cm wide. 52cm deep; each: 4ft. 9½in., 5ft. 10¾in., plinths: 1ft. 4½in., 1ft. 8½in., 1ft. 8½in.
each in the form of a standing figure in drapery supporting a tasselled cushion on their back with a stylised scallopshell on a rockwork base, each with a later octagonal plinth painted to simulate marble; some refreshment to ebonising; losses to the decoration and scallopshells

Condition

In need of some attention. There are losses to the gilding especially on the scallopshells and cushions. On one there has been some recarving to sections of scallopshells but there has been quite substantial losses to the scallopshells and the recarved side has lost its carving. The eyes and teeth are in mother of pearl. There are cracks and age cracks generally commensurate with age and normal usage. The bases have been redecorated but show age and have old marks, chips, scratches and minor paint losses and construction cracks to the joints.
