Huile sur toile

Condition

The painting appears in good condition under a dirty yellow varnish. It has been correctly re-lined (1st half of the 20th century) so the painting has not been compressed. We notice a small loss of 0,5 cm. diameter in the upper left corner. Inspection under UV light reveals a green uniform varnish. There is no other restoration except the small loss already mentioned. The painting is in a spectacular sculpted and gilded wooden 18th century French frame.
