(Dupuis - 1962)

Catalogue Note

Over time, Buck Dany has changed status. He has now become a myth, and not just as one of the heroes of the Golden Age of comics. This is understandable when looking at the precise artistry of Victor Hubinon on this page, and the way he uses ink to give presence to his images. He has to be a very great artist to convey such an impression of movement, power and reality! The two panoramic panels are particularly successful; there is something of Apocalypse Now in them. But almost twenty years earlier!
