Condition

The blossoms are made from chiffon in shades of pink. These are discoloured at the underarms and some of the blossoms have slightly frayed edges (see pics). The trailing leaves and tendrils are in different coloured narrow green ribbon and these are good condition. The velvet is dark and good generally. Two small vertical repairs at the front waist approx 1cm and .5cm long (see pics) The inner tulle corset is grimey in appearance and the upper inner pink silk edging is stained. There are a few small holes in the corset tulle. The bodice has been tucked and stitched in place to make the upper edge slightly smaller probably to prevent gaping. The pink taffeta lining to the velvet skirt has numerous damp speckles. The black rayon and tulle petticoat layers are good. b.81cm, 32in, w.55cm, 21 1/2in no. 59158
