the ovoid body resting on a slightly splayed foot, with sharply defined vertical ribs forming the narrow trails of white slip beneath the lustrous black glaze, the unglazed knife-pared footring revealing a buff-coloured body

Condition

There is a hairline crack of approx. 5.5 cm from the mouth. The jar also has a few occasional glaze flakes and a flake of approx. 0.9 cm to the foot.
