Condition

Pile generally good, near original 1/8in. overall. Some dark brown oxidized to lower pile. Some minor scattered foldwear low to knotheads, not extensive. Some visible scattered warp ties. Scattered spot stains; should enhance with cleaning. Original magenta silk selvages intact. Small areas of sides curling under due to density of weave. Lower end with original flatwoven finish and twisted fringes. Upper with original warp fringes, fringes now with some losses. Flexible handle, lustrous wool, very good pile and condition overall. Please note that a license may be required to export textiles, rugs and carpets of Iranian origin from the United States. Clients should enquire with the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regarding export requirements. Please check with the Carpet department if you are uncertain as to whether a lot is subject to this restriction or if you need assistance.
