Condition

Overall the condition of the bronze is very good with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is some minor wear to the patina in a few areas, including some very minor flaking to the bottom of the shin of proper left front leg. There are a few very small lacunae, including to the underbelly. There are some minor dirt residues, including to the crevices and to the legs and sides of the underbelly. The bronze is beautifully cast, with crisp signature and foundry mark. There is an old label to the underside numbered: 2329.

The present bronze is a rare reduced version of the model measuring 34cm in height.
