Condition
Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the background tends more towards soft cream in the original.
Condition:
There is a small loss to one of the pills, which is visible in the catalogue illustration. All other surface irregularities, especially its deep but stable cracks, are in keeping with the work's natural ageing process and are a feature consistent with other pill paintings from this early period. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.
