  • ivory, mother of pearl, wood, tortoiseshell, brass
of typical form, decorated with inlaid chequer-board pattern of mother-of-pearl and tortoiseshell, with panels on each side containing birds and palmettes, the cage with framed door in the same design, with ivory bands around the base

Condition

In fairly good condition, with some losses and areas of restoration, notably to door frame and hanging arabesque sections, as viewed.
