Description

  • enamel and gold
comprising four octagonal boxes and one rectangular, three with polychrome enamel floral decoration with palmette shaped handles, two of which feature a motif of the personification of the sun to underside and two with calligraphic cartouches, the other two set with turquoise and garnets with repoussé designs

Condition

All in good overall condition, one box with some enamel missing to figural solar motif on underside, some minor knocks to all and a little ware as consistent with age and use, the rectangular box with sections of gold broken and coming off near edge, one box, with repoussee floral decoration, probably of a later date - mid-20th century, as viewed.
