Catalogue Note
Caractérisés par leur forme effilée, les boucliers Dinka comptent parmi les armes les plus élégantes du continent africain. Leur poignée sculptée dans la face interne permettait d'exécuter les mouvements de rotation destinés à parer les coups portés par des massues ou de longs bâtons. Ce bouclier kuerr se distingue par le dessin de l'ombilic dans lequel s'épanouit un très rare motif à quatre facettes structurant l'épure géométrique de la forme.
