Good condition overall. Wear consistent with age and use within the culture. Consistent losses to the base with proper right foot lacking. Beautiful thick ritual patina with earthy light colour. The lack of this ceremonial patina shows the dark and still sticky patina to the face, rear of both arms and neck.

"Entièrement recouvert d'une patine mate, qui a la texture d'un cuir, il laisse transparaître par endroits une seconde peau, de nature cireuse et suintante, celle du corps sous-jacent ; sur la tête en forme de casque, un accident de patine (?) accentue cet effet en s'ouvrant comme une visière sur un visage d'orant, huileux, en contraste avec l'engobe mat de l'ensemble [...]. Même si certaines craquelures évoquent des cicatrices, notamment sur l'abdomen, on ne perçoit aucune souffrance : le dieu hermaphrodite est en oraison".
