Condition

This work is in generally good overall condition. The white tonality is slightly warmer compared to the catalogue illustration. There are some consolidated craquelures on the top of the shape, along the left upper margin and over the shape and towards the upper right corner. There are very light traces of dust along the upper edge and 1 by the outer left edge, towards the corner. No traces of retouching appear to be visible under UV light.

Bonalumi's work is ultimately one of the few cases, in this day and age, that has managed to avoid the traps set by the Informal, by Pop Art and by so much overdone 'conceptualism' and that has, on the contrary, continued to provide a substantial landmark in the difficult season of painting and plastics at the dawn of the third millennium.
