Condition

The colour is fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration although its slightly tends more towards gold than yellow in the original work. Moreover, the image does not convey the glistening nature of the gold paint. The work is executed on its original canvas and is not relined. The stretcher is very slightly visible under the canvas, but only under very close inspection. There is one tiny wear mark located on the top of the upper corner. Under Ultra Violet light inspection there is no evidence of restoration. This work is in excellent condition.
