  • Two Egyptian Bronze Ostrich Plumes

  • Heights 6 1/4 and 6 3/16 in. 15.9 and 15.7 cm.
from the atef-crown of a large figure of Osiris, each feather resting on a ram’s horn and flanked by a uraeus crowned by the sun-disk, the tail trailing across the back, a pendent uraeus once suspended below, the details carefully engraved overall, and with traces of glass paste inlay.

Condition

Very good and as shown and described. The pendant loop below the proper left horn is fragmentary (in the photo it does not appear at all, having been mistakenly photo-shopped out along with the distracting modern base). The tip of the proper right horn is missing. Some surface wear, corrosion, and encrustation.
